Community mental health center chooses Owl to give clinicians and management the outcomes data needed to deliver effective, efficient care.
Owl, a behavioral health technology company, today announced that Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare, an innovative community behavioral health center serving Nassau County and Northeast Florida, has selected Owl as its measurement-based care platform to provide clinicians evidence-based tools that improve patient engagement and clinical outcomes.
Owl will support Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare’s initiative to streamline and automate measurement-based care, where patients regularly report on their symptoms using evidence-based assessments and providers review results to inform treatment decisions and share progress with patients.
“We are dedicated to providing exceptional care, so having a tangible way for clinicians to measure treatment effectiveness and for patients to see their own progress is invaluable,” said Laureen Pagel, CEO of Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare. “Measurement-based care is the future of the industry, and Owl makes it easy for patients and burden-free for clinicians. I love everything Owl has to offer.”
Pagel will also begin to serve on the board of directors for the National Council for Mental Wellbeing this month as a recently-elected board member.
Setting itself apart in the industry, Owl customer data shows a 72.6% reduction in time to remission and a 14.6% increase in capacity with existing resources for regular users on its platform.
Pagel explained, “We have a capacity issue due to a lack of workforce. By partnering with Owl, Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare will strategically and successfully move patients through care to create space for others who need our services.”
“Owl can now prove what’s already been shown in research on the power of measurement-based care—our customers are improving patient outcomes when they use our platform,” said Eric Meier, CEO and President of Owl. “We are proud to partner with innovative organizations like Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare to improve behavioral health outcomes and expand capacity for services.”
